<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/business/06/01/robert1.jpg"/><figcaption><div class="embed-desc">Robert Coyiuto Jr.<cite> Photo from NGCP website</cite></div></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Robert Coyiuto Jr. as his adviser on capital market development.</p><p>In his role, Coyiuto is expected to work on policy recommendations to deepen the financial markets and make them more efficient, as well as attract more investors.</p><p>Coyiuto, president of insurance firm Prudential Guarantee and Assurance, is one of the country’s richest people, having a net worth of about $1.5 billion. He also owns a stake in the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines.</p><p>According to his appointment paper, a copy of which was obtained by ABS-CBN News, Coyiuto will be earning a salary of P1 per year.</p><p>He was among the presidential appointees to take their oath of office before Duterte on Thursday. </p>
