MANILA - Bank of the Philippine Islands said it was extending banking hours nationwide until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, as it worked to resolve a glitch that caused unauthorized changes to its clients' accounts.

The country's third largest lender said efforts to resolve the issue "continue to make progress" and electronic channels "will resume as soon as we are able to complete resolution."
