MANILA - Jollibee is resuming dine-in services in select areas while implementing strict safety measures for staff and customers, the fast-food chain said on Sunday.

Jollibee said it is requiring all store staff to have their temperature checked prior to entry, and are required to wear full protective gear while inside, observe physical distancing, and practice regular handwashing and sanitation.

Customers meanwhile are required to wear face masks, step on disinfectant mats, and have their temperature checked before being allowed to enter.

Door handles, and other store fixtures and surfaces are disinfected every 30 minutes, Jollibee said.

Jollibee has also placed floor markers, table markers, and seat markers to guide customers into maintaining a 1-meter distance when queuing, and 2-meter distance for dine-in.

Last May 31, the Department of Trade and Industry issued guidelines for the reopening of dine-in restaurants and fastfood establishments, amid the general community quarantine imposed to check the spread of COVID-19.

“And now, as we transition to a new normal, we further intensified our safety protocols to ensure that the safety and welfare of both our employees and customers will continue to be prioritized,” said Ferns Yu, Jollibee Philippines President.
