<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/business/06/07/20170607-bpi-branch-rng-8.jpg"/></figure></div><p>MANILA - Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) on Thursday promised its clients that it would restore all its services &quot;very soon&quot; as it continued to correct inconsistencies on bank accounts following a massive glitch that disrupted electronic services starting Wednesday.</p><p>&quot;We expect complete restoration of services very soon, as we fully recognize your requirements ahead of the coming long weekend, including transactions via our electronic channels,&quot; the bank&#x27;s latest statement read.</p><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/bpi/posts/1438790216167146" data-width="auto"> </div><p>The country&#x27;s third largest lender, which has 8 million clients, however did not give a specific time or date when its electronic services, particularly transactions via automated teller machines (ATM), could be restored. </p><p>&quot;We wish to assure you that we are exerting all efforts to rectify balances of accounts with mis-posted transactions. We have isolated the cause of our systems error,&quot; BPI said in a 6 p.m. advisory.</p><p>BPI said its branches would be open until 7:30 p.m. Thursday to service their transactions, particularly, withdrawals, deposits, and payments. </p><p>Other banking services such as credit cards, remittance, SWIFT, equities, brokerage investments, and loans remain operational.</p><p>BPI said the glitch was <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/business/06/07/17/bpi-says-glitch-fixed-access-to-atms-restored">fixed</a> late Wednesday but some customers reported that mis-postings still persisted. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said it would investigate the incident.</p><p>Lawmakers have also <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/06/08/17/lawmakers-seek-probe-into-bpi-mess">called</a> for a legislative inquiry into the incident. </p>
