BPI updates transaction fees effective Sept. 1

MANILA -- Bank of the Philippine Islands said it would impose new transaction fees starting Sept. 1.

Cash deposits are free except in select inter-region transactions, which will cost P50, BPI said.

Passbook account withdrawals are free except in select inter-region transactions, which will cost P100, BPI said.

Encashment of checks is free, if done in the branch where the account is located. Otherwise, it will cost P100.
