MANILA - Property firm Jolliville Holdings Corp said it won the second round of its trademark fight with fast food giant Jollibee Foods Corp.Jolliville said the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) ruled that the names of the two listed companies with different business interests were &quot;not confusingly similar,&quot; reversing a 2014 ruling that favored Jollibee.Quoting from the ruling, Jolliville said that while Jollibee was building a fast food empire, it was making a name for itself in the entertainment scene with the Pegasus, Discovery, Mega Heartbeat and Lexus nightclubs.IPOPHL later confirmed the ruling in a statement posted on its website.Jolliville is controlled by nightclub owner Jolly L. Ting. The company argued that it had been using the &quot;jolli&quot; prefix in documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission since the mid-1980s.&quot;Ville&quot; in the company name refers to the company&#x27;s real estate interests, Jolliville said.Jolliville said it was now engaged in leasing, management services, property development, land banking, waterworks, business process outsourcing and power generation.Jolliville shares rallied on Wednesday after news of the decision broke, up 21 percent to P7.46. Jollibee shares were down 0.29 percent to P207.40.
