Clark International Airport on Tuesday announced new flights to Singapore and Shanghai.In a statement, the airport said a Clark to Singapore route via Jetstar Asia will open on November 28.“Adding more than 56,000 extra seats in a year will be a step towards supporting the Philippine government’s agenda to ease congestion at NAIA [Ninoy Aquino International Airport],” Jetstar Asia chief Bara Pasupathi said. Jetstar Asia&#x27;s Clark to Singapore flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.To celebrate the new route, the airline announced a P1,000 ticket sale starting August 15.“The (CRK-Singapore) flights will definitely boost our operations as we are looking at more travellers who may now choose Clark to fly Jetstar,” Clark International Airport Corp. President Alexander Cauguiran said.Meantime, China Eastern Airlines will begin its Clark to Shanghai flights on October 18.Clark International Airport will also add within the year Philippine Airlines (PAL) flights to Tagbilaran, Bacolod, and Cagayan de Oro. Clark International Airport currently has 134 international flights and 104 domestic flights weekly. It aims to reach 1.5 million passenger traffic by the end of the year.
