Trishia Billones, ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA - Airbus Helicopters said Wednesday it aimed to grow its market share in the Philippines, with the lifting of import duties on aircraft expected to encourage buyers.The company has 70 helicopters flying in the Philippines and 4 more are scheduled for delivery this year.Airbus Helicopters holds half of the Philippine market and aims to increase it by 10 percent over 3 years. It plans to deliver up to 5 helicopters annually in 2018 and 2019, said country managing director Lionel de Maupeou.The European company considers the Philippines as an &quot;important&quot; market, de Maupeou said. It supplies helicopters for passenger transport and hopes to enter tourism, emergency medical services and the military.&quot;We&#x27;ve had steady sales in the corporate and with the VIPs. We have very nice-looking helicopters, very modern. People love that,&quot; said Airbus Helicopters Southeast Asia sales head Fabrice Rochereau.&quot;With a good team and a good product, we believe that we can be optimistic and as we mentioned, the environment -- the free sky, the waive of import duties are also elements that allow us to get a piece of the market,&quot; he said.Tariffs on aircraft imports were lifted this year as part of free trade efforts among Association of Southeast Asian Nations members.
