MANILA - The tap-and-go "beep" cards used in Metro Manila's railway system are now accepted in the point-to-point (P2P) bus line for commuters from Alabang, its operator said Tuesday.

The beep cards can be used in RRCG Transport's buses from Alabang Town Center to Greenbelt 1 in Makati City following a successful public trial last week, AF Payments Inc. said.

"After our rollout in northern Metro Manila P2P buses, we're catering now to commuters down south," Peter Maher, president and chief executive of AF Payments Inc. said in a statement.

The bus line from Alabang to Makati operates from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a bus that leaves every 30 minutes. The promo fare is P50, while the one-way discounted fare for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and students is P40.

The beep cards are also accepted in Light Rail Transit-1, Light Rail Transit-2, Metro Rail Transit-3, and other select bus lines.
