MANILA - Pepsi-Cola Philippines will stop manufacturing Cheetos and its other snack products locally to concentrate on beverages, the company said on Wednesday.

Snacks such as Cheetos, Lays, Doritos, Ruffles, Red Rock Deli, Fritos, Tostitos, Sunchips, Smartfood, Munchies, and Rold Gold will no longer be made locally but will be imported, Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines Inc. (PPCPI) said.

The company said its board of directors approved the closure of its snacks production line "to focus on and strengthen the company’s core business lines."

"Employees of PCPPI’s snacks plant in Cabuyao, Laguna will be transitioned into their new roles in PCPPI following management’s thrust of leading its employees well," the company said.
