Hindi na gagalaw ang produkto. Hindi na mabebenta,&quot; ani Fajardo. </p><p>Si Ralph Arino, may tindahan ng ilaw. Halos lugi na siya sa ilang benta dahil sinasalo niya ang pagtaas ng presyo ng ilang paninda. </p><p>Pero aayaw na rin daw siya kung tumuloy-tuloy pa ang paglakas ng dolyar kontra piso. </p><p>&quot;Malamang sa malamang, may mga projects kami na hindi na namin iga-grab yung ang opportunity. May mga bibitawan talaga na mga projects, pero yung operation hindi naman mawawala. Tuloy-tuloy pa rin,&quot; ani Arino. </p><p>Dagdag niya: &quot;Kung sa industry namin nakaka-survive pa rin, mas maraming industry na hindi kakayanin even at this point sa current dollar value. So I hope hindi na umangat pa,&quot; dagdag niya. </p><p>Kung may mga nalulugi dahil sa hina ng piso, kumikita naman ang mga nasa IT-BPO sector, kung saan 70 porsiyento ng mga kustomer ay galing sa North America. Makakaakit ang industriya ng mas marami pang kliyente dahil nagmumura ang presyo ng kanilang serbisyo, lalo na sa mga kumikita ng dolyar. </p><p>Pero dahil humihina rin ang pera ng ibang bansa na kakumpitensiya ng Pilipinas sa BPO services, hindi rin daw dapat umasa na malaki ang epekto nito sa industriya.</p><p>&quot;It is a volatile situation and we have seen the recent strength of the USD (US dollar) affect other currencies as well. Many of those are also currencies of other emergent IT-BPO locations,&quot; ani IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines President Jack Madrid. </p><p>Ayon sa World Bank, bukod sa hindi nag-iisa ang piso sa paghina kontra dolyar ay hindi rin ito ang pinaka-dehado sa nangyayari ngayon.</p><p>Mas malala pa ang nangyayari anila sa Laos at Myanmar. </p><p>Ayon sa Chief Economist ng UnionBank na si Carlo Asuncion, kailangang may gawing paghihigpit ang ilang mga negosyo sa gitna nito. </p><p>&quot;Businesses have to deal with higher costs of borrowing with the still hawkish tones of most of central banks,&quot; ani Asuncion. Dagdag pa niya, baka kailangan ipagpaliban ng ibang negosyo ang balak nilang expansion.</p><p>Tingin naman ng Malacanang na mas mataas pa rin ang lahat ng mga growth forecast para sa Pilipinas, kumpara sa ibang bansa. </p><p>“We will have to see about that forecast. Our economic managers forecast a higher growth so they are in a much better position to make that determination on that forecast.
