Retail and real estate giant SM Prime Holdings, Inc. will open a new mall in Cagayan Valley, its first in the region.

SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown will be SM's 65th, and will open on Thursday, October 12, the company said in a statement.

The additional 37,000 square meters in gross floor area (GFA) will bring the company's total Philippine GFA portfolio to 8.0 million square meters.

SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown, located along the city's main highway, will bring household brands like Ace Hardware, Surplus, Watsons, Miniso, and Simply Shoes to the region.
