MANILA – Students can now avail of a 20 percent discount on domestic airfares under the implementing rules of a law that granted them such privilege when using public transport., the Civil Aeronautics Board said.Starting Nov. 1, all Filipino students enrolled in elementary, secondary, technical-vocational and higher education institutions are eligible to avail of the discount on regular domestic flights, the CAB said in a resolution. Discounted fares are applicable for the entire period that the student is enrolled, including weekends and holidays, the CAB resolution stated.Students can choose between promotional fares or the discounted regular fare as mandated by R.A. 11314 or the Student Fare Discount Act.
