MANILA - The National Economic and Development Authority&#x27;s (NEDA) Investment Coordination Committee has approved for the agency&#x27;s board confirmation two new projects and changes in two previously-approved projects, including the rehabilitation of conflict-stricken Marawi City. In a statement, NEDA said its Investment Coordination Committee-Cabinet Committee (ICC-CabCom) has endorsed for confirmation the P14.07-billion Regional Fish Port Project for the Greater Capital Region (GCR), which will rehabilitate the Navotas Fish Port Complex, and the P3.87-billion Philippines-Korea Project Preparation Facility (PK-PFF) of the Department of Finance.PK-PFF will support timely implementation of projects under the administration&#x27;s &quot;Build, Build, Build&#x27; program, specifically priority projects of the National Irrigation Administration and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).The ICC also reconfirmed its earlier approval of the P12.86-billion Road Network Development Project in conflict-affected areas in Mindanao.It likewise approved the change in scope and budget hike for the Reconstruction and Development Plan for a Greater Marawi – Stage 2 project of the DPWH, which aims to rebuild the conflict-stricken Islamic city. Included was phase 4 of the expanded Marawi Transcentral Road (MTR) project and the rehabilitation of three bridges in the city, raising the project’s total cost to P6.84 billion, NEDA said. NEDA earlier said it would continue to push for welfare programs to help the Filipino people amid inflation concerns.
