(NNIC), operator of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), has implemented new protocols for handling VIP services to prevent &quot;misuse&quot; and boost efficiency. </span></div><p>NNIC said in a statement that the previous VIP services, which were available for P800, created potential security risks, operational inefficiencies, and an unfair advantage for those who could afford them.</p><p>Under the new measures, NNIC will now implement customized fees for passengers who do not qualify as VIPs or important persons but still seek similar services, including international performers and other prominent individuals.</p><p>&quot;This is consistent with global practices at major airports where premium services are priced at a higher rate, to limit requests while ensuring availability for those who really require them,&quot; it said.</p><p>VIP courtesies are extended to high-ranking officials, foreign dignitaries, and officials with critical roles.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/business/2024/10/1/naia-raises-parking-fees-to-prioritize-passengers-1556" id="isPasted">READ: NAIA raises parking fees to &#x27;prioritize&#x27; passengers</a></div><p>Other reforms include the following:</p><p>Non-passengers will no longer be allowed to offer meet-and-greet services and accompany departing VIPs and important persons. </p><p>Entourages are now limited to essential personnel only to reduce disruptions.</p><p>The new facilitation access system eliminates the annual pass arrangement and will now be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.</p><p>NNIC&#x27;s VIP services will now be exclusively managed by its VIP Assistance Personnel.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/business/2024/9/14/san-miguel-led-naia-privatization-takes-flight-945" id="isPasted">READ: Multibillion-peso NAIA privatization project takes flight</a> </div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/NiEatzmFAwE?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><div><span></span><br/></div>
