MANILA -- Toll fees for the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) and Muntinlupa Cavite Expressway (MCX) are going up this week.

From November 19, toll rates along SCTEx for the following types of vehicles are climbing by the following amounts:
Class 1 - P0.64/km
Class 2 - P1.29/km
Class 3 - P1.93/km

This means an additonal P25 for class 1 vehicles travelling from Mabalacat to Tarlac and P50 for buses and small trucks.

In a Nov. 15 post on its page, the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) said this was the second tranche of toll fee movements after the NLEX Corporation requested periodic adjustments in 2020 and 2022.

The TRB said it approved the collection of the provisionally approved toll fees for the MCX after the Ayala Corporation and the MCX Project Company, Inc. filed a petition for periodic toll rate adjustments in 2022.
