<p>MANILA<strong> (UPDATED)</strong> — Several GCash users reported unauthorized transactions, prompting the e-wallet platform to address the issue on Saturday.</p><p>In an official statement, GCash said some customers were affected due to errors in an ongoing &quot;system reconciliation process&quot;.</p><p>It did not provide additional details.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/business/2024/11/10/cicc-report-scams-to-government-instead-of-ranting-on-social-media-951">CICC: Report scams to 1326 hotline instead of ‘ranting on social media’</a></div><p>The company said the incident affected only a small number of users and assured customers that their accounts remain secure.</p><p>GCash said it has identified the affected accounts and has reached out to account holders.</p><p>Wallet adjustments are also currently in progress, it added.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/11/10/sws-families-reporting-victimization-by-cybercrimes-reach-record-high-in-september-942">SWS: Families reporting victimization by cybercrimes reach &#x27;record high&#x27; in September</a></div><p>It advised affected users to message the online financial services company&#x27;s <a href="https://www.facebook.com/gcashofficial">official Facebook</a> page for assistance.</p>
