MANILA - The Bureau of Customs exceeded its target collection for the first month of 2024 with a P1.5-billion surplus. Assistant Secretary Vincent Philip Maronilla, Customs Spokesperson attributed the increased collection to the BOC’s program to strictly monitor the entry of goods, address smuggling and plug revenue leakages, and improve the BOC’s systems and the welfare of its employees. “Ngayong buwan na ito, ay sumobra kami sa mahigit kumulang P1.5 Billion na surplus.
