Toll rates for Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway to increase on March 18

MANILA -- Toll rates for the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) are increasing from March 18, Monday, according to the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB).

In a statement, the TRB said toll fees for the MCX would be as follows:

Class 1 - P19
Class 2 - P39
Class 3 - P58 

The TRB said it authorized the collection of the second ranche of the provisionally approved 2018 and 2020 consolidated periodic toll rate adjustments for the expressway after MCX Project Company, Inc. complied with the publication requirements and posted a surety bond.

The increase in the toll rates is the same as the increase implemented last year during the first tranche.
