MANILA - The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) said it has issued more than 100,000 Digital Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TIN) IDs.

BIR Commissioner Romeo D. Lumagui Jr they have issued a total of 102,046 Digital TIN IDs as of March 25, 2024.

The Digital TIN ID serves as a valid government-issued identification for various transactions with government agencies, employers, financial institutions, and other parties. Its authentication is facilitated through a Quick Response (QR) code, providing convenience and security to taxpayers.

Individuals with existing TINs can apply for a Digital TIN ID through the ORUS platform, which is accessible online.
