ASUS launches new lightweight gaming laptops, dual screen device

<p>MANILA - ASUS on Thursday night introduced a new line of gaming phones and laptops, including a dual-screen device as it formally launched its 2024 products in the Philippines.</p><p>ASUS Zenbook Duo features two 14-inch screens and a detachable keyboard. The device&#x27;s versatility for ASUS is the Zenbook Duo&#x27;s selling point, as it&#x27;s able to transform into four different modes for &quot;efficient multitasking.&quot; </p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1709871174361.jpeg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="Caption: ASUS Zenbook Duo. AC Coloma, ABS-CBN News"/><span class="fr-inner"><em id="isPasted"></em>ASUS Zenbook Duo.<em id="isPasted"> AC Coloma, ABS-CBN News <br/></em></span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p><em><br/></em>ASUS said the laptop has four modes: desktop, dual-screen, sharing, and the standard single-screen laptop mode.</p><p>The dual screen mode could also be used with a virtual keyboard.</p><p>&quot;It adapts to your needs with several usage modes to ensure optimal productivity and convenience anytime and anywhere,&quot; ASUS Philippines Country Manager George Su said during the launch event held in Taguig.</p><p>The Zenbook Duo is priced at P129,995.</p><p>ASUS also introduced the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED, a business laptop weighing just 1.2 kilograms with a price starting at P63,995.  </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>ASUS ROG drops lightweight gaming laptops, phones</strong></div><p>Lightweight usage seems to be ASUS’ game for 2024, as even its ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) line of laptops and phones get a stylish and featherweight redesign.</p><p>ASUS ROG Zephyrus’ 2024 versions will come at just 1.5 kg, which is impressive considering the weight of the standard gaming laptops seen in the market today. </p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1709871097940.jpeg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="Caption: A look at the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16. It also carries an NVIDIA RTX 4070 graphics card.</p><p>Meanwhile, the larger ROG Zephyrus, the ROG Zephyrus G16 can feature up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 185H paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU.</p><p>Another thing to look out for is the ROG Nebula panel for its screens.</p><p>ROG Zephyrus G14’s price is P159,995, while the price for ROG Zephyrus G16 is P249,995</p><p>Like its new line of laptops, ASUS ROG’s new line of phones - the ROG Phone 8 and the ROG Phone 8 Pro - will be lighter compared to previous versions.</p><p>ROG Phone 8 is &quot;slimmer by up to 15 percent&quot; while boasting a &quot;powerful punch.&quot; Design-wise, it will feature customizable Aura RGB lighting, while the ROG Phone Pro will feature an <span id="isPasted" style="color:rgb(65, 65, 65);letter-spacing:normal;orphans:2;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;widows:2;word-spacing:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;white-space:normal;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);text-decoration-thickness:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;display:inline !important;float:none">AniMe Vision Mini-LED display. </span></p><div><span id="isPasted"><span id="isPasted" style="color:rgb(65, 65, 65);letter-spacing:normal;orphans:2;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;widows:2;word-spacing:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;white-space:normal;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);text-decoration-thickness:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;display:inline !important;float:none">Both ROG Phone 8 and the ROG Phone 8 Pro will run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform. </span></span></div><p>The phone will also have a 24 mm wide-angle lens, 50 mm prime lens,  and a <span id="isPasted" style="color:#000000;background-color:transparent;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">32 MP ultrawide selfie camera. </span>It also features a 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 3.0 primed for better photography and videography.</p><p>The prices start at P50,995 for the ROG Phone 8, while prices for the Pro variant start at P60,995.</p>
