<p>MANILA -- Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Friday said it has signed a temporary wet lease agreement with a European company as supply chain issues continue to affect the aviation industry.</p><div><span id="isPasted" style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);letter-spacing:normal;orphans:2;text-align:start;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;widows:2;word-spacing:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;white-space:normal;text-decoration-thickness:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;display:inline !important;float:none">A wet lease agreement is a deal between two airlines where the lessor provides aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance to the lessee.</span></div><div><span id="isPasted">PAL said it signed a wet lease agreement with Wamos Air for two Airbus A330-200s with a dual-class configuration, for its flights from Manila to Sydney and Melbourne.</span></div><div><span id="isPasted">PAL flies daily to Sydney and five times weekly to Melbourne. </span></div><div><span id="isPasted">The agreement takes effect on June 1 and will last 5 months.</span></div><p>&quot;We have additional maintenance requirements during this period due to global supply chain issues that continue to impact the industry,&quot; said <span>PAL </span>President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley K.
