<p>MANILA -- Google has added 5 Philippine languages to its Google Translate feature. </p><p>In a statement, the search engine said it has added Bikol, Hiligaynon, Kapampangan, Pangasinan, and Waray to its translation tool. </p><p>Before this, Google Translate only supported three Philippine languages: Cebuano, Filipino, and Ilocano.</p><p>Google said it added 110 languages worldwide to its Translate feature, bringing the total number of supported languages to 133. </p><p>Other foreign languages recently added to the list were Cantonese, the <span id="isPasted" style="line-height:115%">Papua New Guinean language Tok Pisin, and the African langauges <span id="isPasted" style="line-height:115%">Afar and NKo.</span></span></p><p><span id="isPasted"></span>Google said this move is expected to help <span style="line-height:115%">660 million people worldwide with access to information and connection in their native tongue.</span></p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/business/2024/4/26/google-introduces-ai-labeling-tool-in-fight-vs-misinformation-1324">Google introduces AI labeling tool in fight vs. misinformation</a></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
