MANILA - Telecoms player PT&T on Thursday disclosed it is forming a joint venture with Australian tech firm Netlinkz Limited to provide broadband and network security services to businesses across the Philippines, including those in remote and underserved areas.

PT&T said the joint venture will provide broadband connectivity through smaller, portable and mobile satellite dishes to previously inaccessible regions.

The service will also feature advanced Virtual Secured Network Plus (VSN+), PT&T said.

"Through this partnership, enterprises throughout the country, particularly in areas historically underserved by traditional fiber internet providers, will gain access to this high-speed, low-latency connectivity with enterprise grade network security," the company said.

Aside from satellite broadband services, the new joint venture will also introduce a comprehensive suite of IT solutions, including Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN) and cybersecurity to the Philippine market.

"This joint venture combines our global expertise with PT&T’s local insights, delivering top-tier services that cater to the evolving needs of businesses in the region," said James Tsiolis, CEO of Netlinkz.
