They may also be imprisoned for 4 to 6 years. </p><p>Section 263 (A) of the NIRC, also prohibits the selling of heated tobacco products and vapor products at a price lower than the combined excise and value-added taxes.</p><p>Sellers found to be doing this will be punished with a fine of 10 times the amount of excise tax plus value-added tax but not less than P200,000, and can be jailed from 4 to 6 years.</p><p><span id="isPasted"></span><span id="isPasted"></span>BIR noted that the law also covers online marketpalces and sellers. A supplier or distributor may be considered as a seller that is covered by the regulation, the bureau added.</p><p>&quot;We are monitoring both online platforms and brick-and-mortar stores. Do not sell below the floor price.
