In 2018, he was given his first acting gig, which was the daytime series <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/playhouse">Playhouse,</a> headlined by Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo. It was succeeded by his appearance in the “Dayuhan” episode of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/ipaglabanmo">Ipaglaban Mo!</a> the following year.Donny once again showed off his hosting prowess in the Filipino-Korean variety program Aja! Aja! Tayo sa Jeju, alongside Robi Domingo, Kristel Fulgar, and Shine Kuk.
