As an actor, Joshua Garcia always strives to push himself further into new acting territories to deliver a strong performance. His great talent is again illuminated by playing dual characters in Mars Ravelo’s Darna. While the real Brian and the Dark Brian have the same face and dress similarly, viewers can distinguish who’s who, which is proof of Joshua's masterful transformation. And when matched by modern technology, his scenes get even more stunning, for instance, the badass Joshua versus Joshua fistfight!

Re-watch his impressive portrayal of Dark Brian via this Kapamilya Toplist of scenes.

Police officer Brian Robles’ evil duplicate happened when shards of the green chrysalis land on the mirror that Brian was looking at, breathing life into his reflection. Brian is known for being a heroic and reputable cop, thus shocking everyone with his sudden rogue behavior. Dark Brian did all kinds of mischief from catcalling women to pulling pranks in the streets and using his gun to threaten a group of men who thought he was crazy.

The men went to the police station to report but chickened out upon seeing the real Brian. Later that night, Dark Brian locked up the true Brian after defeating him in a duel.

Childish and careless, Dark Brian finally did what he thinks the original Brian should’ve done long ago, which is to give the corrupt police officer Pineda (Eric Fructuoso) his lesson. Dark Brian enjoyed hurting Pineda, convincing Col. Malabanan to place him under suspension, which he easily countered through Mayor Zaldy (Simon Ibarra)’s power.

Dark Brian toyed with Regina (Janella Salvador)’s feelings by making their relationship official. When the ExTriad attacked outside a restaurant where he and Regina were having dinner, Dark Brian opted to leave with Regina than help his teammates in the gunfight, destroying again the original Brian’s reputation.

He also failed Narda (Jane de Leon), who asked for help in tracing the missing grandson of an old lady named Lola Trining, telling her to stop trying to be a hero and that her job as an EMT officer is more than enough of a service to people. When Narda said Lola Trining’s grandson Miguel was recruited by the Extras, Dark Brian wasn’t even bothered by the possibility of a minor getting killed, raising red flags at Narda.

A stark contrast to the old Brian who would endure danger as a commitment to duty, Dark Brian just let his subordinates do all the work. He became exactly the officers he abhors – corrupt and wicked. Dark Brian released a drug pusher from prison and gave him a medallion that, according to him, puts criminals under his protection. He would rather watch funny videos on his mobile phone and get a back massage while on duty instead of joining operations against the Extras.

When confronted by his Police Officer Antiporda (Jeffrey Santos) for his neglect and receiving protection money, Dark Brian retorted that the corrupt system has been going on for decades, keeping the villains richer while those who play by the rules are left behind, therefore, he’d rather be corrupt as well to make it fair.

Dark Brian engaged in a brawl with Noah (Paolo Gumabao) at the Vanguardia Building, much to the dismay of Narda who called him a bully. It was followed by Darna catching him extorting money from a street vendor.

Narda and Ding (Zaijian Jaranilla) decided to investigate the root of Brian’s changed behavior. Will they manage to save him before it’s too late? Don’t miss an episode of Mars Ravelo’s Darna, weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
