Janella Salvador graced the latest episode of Hotspot on Thursday, September 1 not just to talk about her stint in <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/darna" target="_blank">Mars Ravelo’s Darna</a>, but to also enthusiastically take on the thrilling new game called “Describe In Five Challenge”.In this game, she was shown pictures of some of her showbiz friends and her beloved Baby Jude, who she had to describe in as many adjectives that she could within five seconds and had to explain her responses afterwards.First on the list was her <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/afamilyaffair" target="_blank">A Family Affair</a> actor Jameson Blake, to whom she had the chance to work with in the 2018 film “So Connected.” According to her, he’s “quiet, introverted, charming.” As she was supposed to say “shy,” she disclosed that they’re actually good friends when they were still working together.When it comes to her <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/thekillerbride" target="_blank">The Killer Bride</a> co-star and distant relative Maja Salvador, she regarded her as “smart, empowered, beautiful, gorgeous, and talented.” Since they have not seen each other lately, Janella couldn’t help but express how much she misses her already and how excited she is to meet with her soon.Being a very supportive relative and ate that she is, Maja was actually the first one to find out about her audition to become the new generation Valentina. The 24-year-old actress recalled, “Actually, audition ko palang, noong nag-read ako para sa role, siya agad ‘yong tinawagan ko. Siya ‘yong unang nakaalam na I’m gonna read for Valentina.”She then added how absolutely supportive Maja was to her and how she ardently cheered for her since she was feeling nervous that time. Janella also described her as one of the most caring people she has ever known.Meanwhile, Iza Calzado for her is intelligent, full of wisdom, and talented. They may not be able to share the screen together since Iza’s character Leonor already vanished before Regina entered the narrative, but Janella revealed that they were still able to bond off-cam. There were instances when Iza would share her healthy food with Janella whenever she saw her consuming processed foods.As Iza disclosed in an interview that she was offered to become Darna many years ago, yet she failed to get the role, the young mom also imparted that inspiring part of her journey to Janella and their other colleagues as they went home from their lock-in taping. Janella believes as well that it’s a case of perfect timing as well since more people appreciates Iza at present than in the early years on her career.And speaking of Darna, she told DJ Jhai Ho that the management made her go, but she could remember it vividly anymore. She could not recall if they asked her to shout “Darna,” yet what she’s sure of was she did the script-reading when it was still a movie.With regards to her good friend and Star Magic 2013 batchmate Liza Soberano, she described her as “generous, gorgeous, smart.” She disclosed that they haven’t seen nor talk to each other for a long time and she’s very much happy and proud for her successes, now that she’s slowly attaining her dream to break into the Hollywood scene. Perfect din na [The] Killer Bride kasi, I think, it was a good first,” she said.As Jane de Leon’s picture appeared, Janella enumerated “beautiful, street-smart, good cook.” When quizzed what makes her “street-smart”, she explained that she firmly believes that she can survive on her own if ever she’s going to live on her own because she can cook and handle her money well.Last, but definitely not the least is her beloved son Baby Jude, who she fondly described as “loving, smart, beautiful boy, angel-like, and funny”. She also enthused that he is her “pampa-happy” and the first-ever word he uttered was “Mama”, of course.
