Stocking Exchange Game: Jane, Joshua, Janella’s Christmas messages speak of their solid friendship

The ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2022 “Tayo Ang Ligaya Ng Isa’t Isa” not only was a time for artists to express their love and gratitude to solid Kapamilya fans, but it also doubled as a chance for them to bond and celebrate their friendships and the spirit of togetherness this holiday season through backstage ‘Paskulitan’ activities. In this behind-the-scenes video,<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/darna"> Mars Ravelo’s Darna </a>stars Jane de Leon, Joshua Garcia, and Janella Salvador had a meaningful time exchanging heartfelt Christmas messages and fostered their ‘closeness’ via Stocking Exchange Challenge.Before the game, host Alora Sasam asked the players their previous Christmas wishes that have come true this year. Joshua and Jane both received the abundance of work they asked for. Meanwhile, Janella’s wish for her son, Jude, to learn more and grow into a happy boy has clearly manifested. Her good friends can certainly vouch for that as they get to interact with Baby Jude whenever he’s on set. We could feel Joshua’s ‘gigil’ when he talked about Jude’s pet peeve of people singing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and the “Happy Birthday” song. Jane added that Jude isn’t a cry baby “kahit nadadapa.” Moving on to the game, the power trio had to pick a piece of paper each from two stockings – one contains a list of action words while the other has a set of body parts. The one who picked must perform the action word on their partner’s body part while giving the partner a Christmas message for 30 seconds. We’ll see who between JaneShua, JoshNella, and DarLentina could do it better. Joshua and Jane got the ball rolling. He picked ‘katukin’ and ‘kili-kili,’ meaning he had to knock on Jane’s armpit while saying his message. Although Darna felt awkward at first, she was still game to finish the task. Joshua told her, “Huwag mong i-pressure masyado ang sarili mo. Nandito kami.” Next, Joshua put his chin on Janella’s back while telling her, “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Always remember na kahit anong mangyari, nandito lang ako.” He literally got her back! Jane was then compelled to pinch Joshua’s finger while reminding him that they all love him. Then, Jane’s cheek-to-cheek with Janella was ‘kilig’ on its own, and even more so when matched by this sweet message: “I just wanna say that sobrang thankful ako sa unexpected friendship nating dalawa and always remember nandiyan ako through ups and downs. Love you!”Janella’s first dare was adorably cute: flick Joshua’s nose, which made the latter react: “Sadista ‘tong mga ‘to.” But Janella’ message was otherwise gentle and sweet: “Hello! Merry Christmas! Gusto ko lang sabihin na deserve mo lahat nang dumarating para sa’yo ngayon kasi nakita ko kung paano ka simula pa lang. You’ve been working hard.” In the final round, Janella had to repeatedly pinch Jane’s elbow, as she imparted, “Merry Christmas, Jane! I just want to say that you’re so hard working and sana makita ng lahat ‘yung hard work mo. I’m also happy that kahit sa start hindi tayo agad nag-click, I’m really happy for our unexpected friendship and nasabi ko naman ‘yun sa note ko sa birthday gift ko.” In case you missed it, Jane celebrated her birthday last month. This trio had us gushing “aww” throughout the game as they prove their wholesome bond and solid support for each other through their Christmas messages. With that, they also left nakaka-good vibes holiday greetings and wishes for their supporters.
