Considering the intense feud and revenge on Dirty Linen, can you imagine how the cast members are in real life? Well, it turns out they are more than happy to share ‘kulitan’ moments in between takes.

In past episodes of Kapamilya Chat and Hotspot, the stars of Dirty Linen took on some challenges in where they shared their co-actors’ off-cam secrets. Check out their revelations in these videos.

In the first clip, Francine Diaz, Raven Rigor, and Sean Tristan divulged that Xyriel Manabat is the loudest in their group, but not the sleepyhead. “Hindi natutulog si Xyriel. ‘Pag nakita n’yo siyang tulog, ibig sabihin marami siyang ginawa sa buhay niya.” Francine revealed further, “Meron siyang pantry. Meron siyang tindahan. So, busy ‘yan sa pagdidikit sa wall ng mga chichirya niyang tig-piso. Ang nakakatawa do’n, meron siyang shampoo, toothpaste, kape. Tapos sa ilalim ng table niya, nando’n ‘yung pandesal at malalaking chichirya. So bahala ka na lang buksan ‘yung mga plastic doon.”

To add to that, Raven recalled a time when he was feeling down, and Xyriel knew how to cheer him up by buying him his favorite bread.

The cast member who’s always on his phone is none other than Raven, who likes to photograph random things on set. The more serious one whom they can’t disturb most of the time is Francine, but they understand her need for silence whenever she’s gearing up for a heavy scene.

Who’s the bully? Seth Fedelin was the unanimous answer. He’s so playful that sometimes they still think he’s joking even if he’s not.

In a separate episode, Christian Bables didn’t hold back in exposing his friends. Would you believe that the intimidating Doña Cielo (Tessie Tomas) is a joker in real life? Thanks for this info, Christian!

He then admitted to being the number one bully on set, with his best friend Jennica Garcia as his only victim. He also voted her as the “most matakaw,” while Joel Torre is “laging tulog sa tent.”

On-cam sisters Francine Diaz and Janine Gutierrez are the social media savvy. Asked who is the noisiest and often gets scolded on set, he replied, “Wala, kasi ‘pag nasa set kami, seryoso lahat.” Naka-in character kaming lahat.”

John Arcilla likewise described each of his co-actors. He first talked about Tessie Tomas as the highly entertaining cast member on- and off-cam; while Janice de Belen is the smart one.

“Sobrang mahal na mahal ko ‘yan,” he spoke of Francine Diaz playing his daughter. “Alam mo ‘yung kombinasyon ng isang magandang bata, at the same time, sensitibo. Napaka-professional, kahit anong sabihin sa kanya ng direktor gagawin niya.”

A chameleon is how he would describe Angel Aquino, who is also one of the most unassuming. He said Angel is unaware of her acting prowess and her modesty is part of her magic. She will do everything for the love of her craft.

From one chameleon to another, John lauded Epy Quizon for his seamless shifting between comedy and drama and called him one of the best in the industry. Outside the set, they’re good buddies and he thanked Epy for bringing ‘ayuda’ or food on the set.

John let us in on his dynamic with Joel Torre, one that only true masters of their craft will understand. “That’s why he is Joel Torre because he provides this kind of mood na everything will be fine, that magagawa natin ang eksenang to. Sobrang kampante ako. ‘Pag kami ang magka-eksena, ang feeling ko lang plakado, walang problema.”

His fondness for Janine Gutierrez was evident as he talked about her acting genes. He noted that Janine is blessed with both glamour and thespic prowess, but gives more weight to the latter. He approved of Zanjoe Marudo’s talent as well, noting that the younger actor is worthy of his achievements as a thespian.

JC Santos had nothing but good words about Team Resbak, calling them the perfect role models to the younger generation of talents. As a matter of fact, he wishes to be like Joel Torre someday, “He’s such an inspiration to me.”

Meanwhile, he sees himself in Christian Bables in the sense that they are both eager to pass on their knowledge to the next generation of artists. He also has nothing but praise for Jennica Garcia, who personified Lala perfectly it doesn’t look like it’s her first time playing such a role.

On Janine Gutierrez, he remarked, “Sukat na ‘yung skills at pagiging mabait ni Janine.” But he knows that she still has so much to showcase. “Ito, bagong bago ‘yung pinakita niya sa akin dito sa ‘Dirty Linen.’”

During her Kapamilya Chat guesting, Jennica Garcia gushed about her newfound family. In a family, there’s a father-figure, and she found one in Joel Torre.

Akin to their characters, she also formed an adorable bond with and found a confidante in Christian Bables. She mentioned that Christian gives him comfort whenever a scene opens her old wounds, the one who pacifies her strong anxiety.

“Meron akong anxiety and I’m also taking medication for it. Pero laking tulong ni Christian kasi minsan hindi ko na kailangan maggamot kasi alam na niya bilang aktor. He knows, eh. Para siyang acting coach. ‘Yung bigla niya akong igigilid na, ‘Okay, release. You’re safe here.’ May gano’n sa akin si Christian. Imagine mo kung wala,” she said, praising the Lord for giving her a dependable friend on set.

Meanwhile, Angel Aquino is her source of beauty hacks, “Si Ate Angel ay isang nilalang na ubod ng ganda with makeup but, oh my gosh, you guys should see her without makeup. Talagang sabi ko, ‘Grabe ‘tong taong ‘to. Goals talaga.’”

Jennica is a fan of Janine Gutierrez’s beauty and model-superstar appeal as well. And one thing she discovered about Janine is that “hindi pala siya untouchable.” And I really love that about Janine.”

On Tessie Tomas, who plays the Fiero matriarch in the series, Jennica shared that she was moved to know that Tessie still remembers her from a teleserye they starred in almost a decade ago. “No’ng nakita ko siya ulit, nandun ‘yung, baka nakalimutan na ako. So, ang tawag ko sa kanya Tita na kasi ayaw kong magmukhang feeling close. Kasi sa last memory ko, close kami. Pero I don’t want to assume na ‘the’ Tessie Tomas knows that we were close then. ”Therefore, she was surprised when, in a casual gathering outside work, Tessie recalled how close they were.

She vowed that Epy Quizon is far from his character as Ador. He is the joker of the group. He’s also their source of advice when it comes to business.

On Janice de Belen, she perceived the veteran actress as the most intimidating, “Sa lahat ng cast ng ‘Dirty Linen,’ kay Ate Janice ako may pinakatakot. ‘Paano ba ako magha-hi?” She mentioned that Dreamscape Entertainment Head Deo Endrinal’s constant dinner parties for the whole cast and production helped break the ice between them. From Tita Janice, she now calls her Ate Janice.

Xyriel Manabat was thrilled to have been surrounded by acting luminaries in Dirty Linen, and she’s even more honored to have found new mentors in them. In an episode of Kapamilya Chat, the young actress shared what it’s like working with her co-stars and living with them in a bubble.

Playing Epy Quizon’s daughter in the story, she discovered that he’s a generous guy, always prepared with food to add to their pantry. Of course, as the son of the late Comedy King Dolphy, he is naturally funny. Xyriel may be a lot younger than him but their humor perfectly fits.

Angel Aquino, whom she described as perfectly gorgeous and kind, is her mother figure on set. Sometimes they bond by eating out.

Though initially intimidated by Janice de Belen, she eventually saw the seasoned actress’ funny side during a gathering. When it comes to acting, Janice is very supportive in that she motivates her co-stars even if she’s not in the scene.

We can’t blame Xyriel for fangirling on set. When she met John Arcilla, she asked for a photo op and told him he is her idol. Meanwhile, Tessie Tomas has been their matriarch on- and off-cam.

Food is the love language of the “Dirty Linen” cast, thus, restaurateur Joel Torre contributes a lot to their food trips by bringing “inasal.”

She gushed about the youthful beauty of Jennica Garcia, whom she describes as her ‘Ate’ figure, the one she can talk to about girly things. The same goes for Janine Gutierrez, who is blessed with natural charisma. She’s infectiously giddy, like a little kid who gets happy when handed candy or goodies baked by Xyriel’s mother.

When asked about her on-screen brother Raven Rigor, she admitted that they were awkward at first. Eventually, they broke their walls and now treat each other like real siblings thanks in part to Raven’s gentlemanly ways.

As the then-newest addition to the story, Elisse Joson enthusiastically talked about working with the main cast, starting off with the loveteam of Seth Fedelin and Francine Diaz, whom she described as “cuties” and who reminds her of her early start in the industry when she was still in a loveteam with now-real-life beau McCoy de Leon.

“Sobrang bait” is how she would describe Angel Aquino, who warmly welcomed her on the set although she was just new.

She then talked about Tessie Tomas’ intense motivation toward work, which is inspiring to younger stars like her. She added that Tessie is particular with her nuances and looks and even the scene’s continuity, which she believes is the reason for the veteran star’s longevity in showbiz.

With regards to John Arcilla, she called him “funny” and “makulit” off-cam, which is really far from his serious and authoritative character Carlos Fiero. According to her, he likes to make jokes out of nowhere, which brings good vibes to the set.

She also couldn’t help but admire the beauty of Janine Gutierrez, who she described as “down-to-earth.” She revealed that Janine had this reputation of being an “Englishera na tahimik” but she noticed that Janine is actually “kalog” and childlike, as well as approachable.

Last, but definitely not the least, is Zanjoe Marudo, her character’s ex-boyfriend in the story. According to Elisse, Zanjoe never made her feel awkward in all their scenes and he would even approach her everytime she does a brilliant job, which she really appreciates.

The behind-the-scenes of Dirty Linen seems pretty fun, but once the camera starts grinding, everyone devours and leaves no crumbs. Hang on until the finale episode this Friday, August 25, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
