A grateful Maine Mendoza is welcoming 2019 with lessons learned, she said, including moving on from “toxic energy” and finding happiness where one is loved.

On Instagram, the “Puliscredibles” star shared with her three million followers a compilation of memorable moments and milestones from the past year.

In its caption, she wrote: “2018, you have done me so well. Took all the lessons learned from my mistakes and difficult times last year to make 2018 one of the best, most memorable years yet. I am happier now than I have ever been and am incredibly blessed with so many wonderful things — from the very start of the year until today.

“Couldn’t be more grateful for everything! I am just so so glad to have finally moved on from the toxic energy and people that used to drain me - the best realisation and resolution still. Cheers to a great year! And may we always find the courage to let go of what’s weighing us down. Hoping 2019 is even more exciting and fruitful for all of us. Happy New Year, everyone!”

Mendoza, 23, concluded with a quote from author Lang Leav: “Don’t stay where you are needed. Go where you are loved.”

Mendoza, a social media darling who skyrocketed to fame in 2015, remained one of the most visible celebrities in local showbiz in 2018.

Aside from being a mainstay of TAPE’s “Eat Bulaga,” she also clinched a lead role in a sitcom, and starred in a Metro Manila Film Festival entry.

In the last quarter of the year, Mendoza’s personal life became the subject of headlines, amid rumors of a brewing romance with Kapamilya actor Arjo Atayde. Neither has gone on record confirming an official relationship.
