MANILA - Up Dharma Down vocalist Armi Millare took to social media to deny that the group is disbanding.

This after an online article came out with a headline that reads: "Armi Millare says 'goodbye' to Up Dharma Down."

In a Facebook post, Millare clarified that the band will continue to hold gigs and produce hits, but will now call officially call themselves "UDD" instead of Up Dharma Down.

At the start of 2017, the band's newest single "Sigurado" was launched.

"At a time like this, I earnestly feel that creative pursuits must be followed up with much caution and more love, because part of our job is to introduce moments of respite from current realities. Its just a few minutes of music but consider this us giving you our very best, and hope you enjoy it with your friends and family," she wrote.

"Goodbye Up Dharma Down, and hello UDD... Cheers to more music and to all the good things we can still experience and work hard for!" Millare added.

Apart from Millare, UDD is also composed of Carlos Tanada (guitars), Paul Yap (bass), and Ean Mayor (drums).

They are known for their "hugot" songs such as "Tadhana," "Oo," and "Sana."
