Shaina explains what having a friend like Piolo means to her

Friendships among celebrities can be as fickle as their time in the limelight.

So it's no surprise that Shaina Magdayao values her relationship with Piolo Pascual highly, describing the actor as one of the very few people she could trust completely in an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda."

"Isa siya sa mga beautiful souls who have decided to stay," she said when asked about what her friendship with Pascual means. "And I know na isa siya sa mga tao na kaya kong pagkatiwalaan."

They have long been rumored to be a couple, and the closest fans got to a confirmation was when Pascual said that they have been "exclusively dating" for quite some time already.

Magdayao, however, downplayed it by clarifying that they are free to see anyone. "I'm just thankful for his genuine presence in my life right now," he said of Pascual then.

Magdayao was on the late-night talk show to promote her upcoming drama series, "Asintado," wherein she plays the villain to Julia Montes' character.
