‘PBB Otso’: Apey moves a step closer to meeting father she has never met

<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2019/tvpatrol/01/17/20190117-pbb.jpg"/><figcaption>Apey and Mark Obera are half-siblings who have never met each other. <em>&#x27;PBB Otso&#x27;</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>When asked about the first thing she would tell her biological father whom she has yet to meet, Apey Obera said: &quot;Maitatanong ko na sa kanya kung bakit ang ganda ng anak ninyo?&quot;</p><p>Obviously, her joke was an attempt to mask all the pent-up emotions she has over being told that she could possibly meet the person she has been looking for all her life soon.</p><p>Prior to that moment, Apey was inconsolable after being promised a &quot;key&quot; by Big Brother, or &quot;Kuya,&quot; to the reunion she craves.</p><p>What she didn&#x27;t know was that &quot;key&quot; is a half-sibling of hers, who is part of the &quot;Star Dreamers,&quot; a set of hopefuls living in another house who are looking to become official housemates themselves.</p><p>That person is Mark Obera, a 34-year-old from Compostela Valley.</p><p>Mark had the opportunity to get a glimpse of Apey when housemates Abi Kassem and Lou Yanong sneaked him inside the &quot;PBB&quot; house. Gusto ko siyang yakapin.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Gusto kong sabihin ko sa kanya na kahit hindi kami nagkita ngayon ay mahal ko siya. Kasi kahit hindi kami nagkita parang matagal na kaming magkakilala eh.</p><p>&quot;[Gusto kong] sabihin sa kanya na nandito ako.&quot;</p><p>It remains unclear how or when Apey will be meeting, but expect the reunion in later episodes of &quot;PBB.&quot;</p>
