After years of searching to no avail, Apey Obera began to fear the worst. On her birth certificate, it says that her father was 44 when she was born. She's 23 now.

Happily, however, that fear of hers was put to rest in this Friday's episode of "Pinoy Big Brother: Otso" after meeting her half-brother who confirmed to her their dad is alive and well.

The tearful reunion happened after Apey passed the challenge of making strangers laugh. In doing so, she unlocked a room where her brother, Mark Obera, was waiting for her.

To make their meeting more emotional, the room was designed by the reality show to look like Apey's room where she lives alone after running away from her mother.

Mark said that seeing how his sister lived made him feel guilty. He said that he and his family should've put more effort into finding her.

He told Apey that her mother disappeared with her back when they were still kids without leaving any notes behind as to why.

Apey responded by saying that she doesn't harbor any anger towards her father, and just wanted to know if he's still alive so that she could tell him that she has a pretty daughter.

Mark was apologetic throughout their short conversation and made Apey know that he loves her.

Apey is among the housemates of the adult part of this season's "PBB," while Mark is a "Star Dreamer," another batch of hopefuls looking to officially become part of the reality show.
