MANILA - Actress Janice de Belen talked about her relationship with Priscilla Meirelles, the wife of her ex-husband John Estrada, in an episode of "Tonight With Boy Abunda," which aired Monday.

In an interview with Abunda, de Belen said that working with Meirelles in the romantic drama series "Be My Lady"can be "awkward" at times.

"There will always be awkwardness. Pero, hindi kami magkaaway," she quipped. "We're not enemies. We will not be enemies. There's no reason for us to be enemies."

According to de Belen, she and Meirelles maintain a civil relationship when they are shooting scenes together. In a separate interview, Meirelles said they were "very civil" to each other, but they cannot be "best friends" because of their situation.

"Let's say we wanted to become friends. Anong pag-uusapan namin? Parang ang weird naman kasi? Kumusta na asawa mo?" de Belen said.

As for her ex-husband, de Belen said that they are now in "speaking terms." However, she noted that she is not yet ready to work with Estrada.

"We may be in speaking terms, but working together is too complicated," she said.

Estrada and de Belen were annulled in 2014. They have four children.
