MANILA—South Korean pop idol Kai posted a photo recently confirming he is in the country, ending speculation among fans.

The EXO member on Thursday posted a photo of him inside one of the country's largest mall chains.

Immediately after Kai's post, the topics "SMent" and his birth name, King Jongin, trended on Twitter.

What made Kai's photo amusing is the fact that EXO is managed by SM Entertainment, which shares the name of the company.

Kai's name made the rounds online earlier this week after he was reportedly spotted at Mactan-Cebu International Airport.

His trip to the country comes days after reports of his breakup with Blackpink's Jennie Kim, who is set to perform in Manila on Saturday, February 2.
