What Solenn doesn't want in movie with Derek

MANILA -- "I don't want the press release of the movie to be about that [kissing scene]."

This was model-actress Solenn Heussaff's answer when asked about her non-negotiable demand in working with ex-boyfriend Derek Ramsay on the movie "Love is Blind."

Heussaff and Ramsay used to be a couple when they were just starting in showbiz. According to the 30-year-old actress, she never had a "proper conversation" with Ramsay for 9 years after they separated.

"It was difficult before. We were both young. We were both in this really intense relationship. Parang we kind of ended up hating each other in some points. And then it ended there," she said in an interview with Boy Abunda.

According to Heussaff, she did not want to be referred to as nothing but the "ex of Derek" when she entered the industry. She refused to accept offers that would force her to work with Ramsay. Instead, she tried to make her own name by establishing her identity and talent.

"Kasi when I entered showbiz the questions that were being asked all the time was about Derek. And I made my name in the industry no just being the ex of Derek. So, no-no talaga ako."

"Love is Blind," which is written and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, will be released in theaters nationwide on February 10. It also features Kiray Celis, Kean Cipriano, and Chynna Ortaleza.
