five years after having broken up in the trailer for their comeback movie “Alone/Together.”</p><p>Just like their characters, the two admitted they also have their own “what-ifs” that they deal with personally.</p><p>On top of their list is the thought of what they would be doing right now if they weren’t actors in the Philippines.</p><p>“Ako I always ask myself, what if I didn’t come to the Philippines? Kasi &#x27;yun lang naman &#x27;yung naging way for me to become Liza,” said Soberano.</p><p>“I have a lot of family in the States. Sometimes, parang nanghihinayang ako because I am not as close to them as I want to be. No matter how I try, since there’s been a lot of time that passed already, I know that we’re never going to be at that same level of closeness that I have with my brother who’s here with me,” she added.</p><p>Soberano said she wonders what her life would be if she just chose to stay behind.</p><p>“Would it have been okay na nandoon ako pero I might not have the resources to help them out financially, or was it better that I came here na lang. At least I can help them even though I am far,” she said.</p><p>Gil had the same dilemma right after his father passed away,</p><p>“My mom really wanted to bring us to Europe na kasi mag-isa na lang siya and they have really good benefits in Spain. My kuya, siya dapat mauuna but he didn’t want to go kasi may girlfriend siya. Ako &#x27;yung next pero nakapasok ako sa ABS noon so things started to change,” he said.</p><p>“Alone/Together” film follows the love story of Christine (Soberano) and Raf (Gil), ex-college sweethearts who meet again during a turning point in their respective lives.</p><p>The trailer shows the couple plotting their shared dreams, only to end up reaching for them separately after Christine ends their relationship. </p><p>Markedly more mature in appearance, the two come face to face again, with Raf asking Christine a series of “what-if” questions and surmising how much differently their lives would have unfolded given those scenarios.</p><p>Written and directed by Antoinette Jadaone, the Black Sheep production, which marks Soberano and Gil’s fourth big-screen project together, is scheduled to hit cinemas nationwide on February 13.</p>
