After handing Leah (Nadine Lustre) the divorce papers he signed, Clark (James Reid) leaves his furniture exhibit to take a breather. Simon follows him and begins to taunt Clark about how he gave Leah everything she wanted and more.

“Thank you because you gave up on her,” says Simon, who, years back, offered Leah a job in Dubai to forward her career and help pay for her father’s heart transplant. “Nag-bloom siya into the best version she could be, and hindi mangyayari iyon kung naiwan siya sa Pilipinas dahli sa iyo.”

Clark then goes home and talks to Tita Jack (Cherry Pie Picache), who is still trying to convince her nephew into reconsidering his decision to divorce Leah. Clark simply tells her: “I want her to fight for me. Dapat mangaling sa kanya ang decision na tumaya sa relationship na ito.”

Simon, meanwhile, accompanies Leah home. After learning of the divorce papers, he tries to make a move on his “partner” by confessing his feelings yet again and trying to kiss her, but Leah turns her face away. Taking a hint, he leaves and begins to break down.

Leah then admits to her sister and father that it was her fault that her marriage with Clark fell apart. “Ipaglalaban ko na ho si Clark, kakausapin ko siya at sasabihin ko na mahal ko siya,” she says. “Gagawin ko po lahat para tanggapin niya ako. Dahil mahal na mahal ko po si Clark.”
