'Nobody's safe': Trailer for 'The Tapes' promises disturbing new mystery thriller movie

<p>MANILA -- Sam Milby and Yassi Pressman star in this mystery-thriller from iWant, &quot;The Tapes,&quot; as cops are tasked to investigate a murder in a remote town and unmask demonic figures.</p><p>Milby is Sonny Cruz, a cop bored of his job seeking a thrill. He finds truth in the old adage, &quot;be careful what you wish for,&quot; after he was sent a recording of a murder. He then seeks the help of Alice Lagaac, portrayed by Pressman, the only female cop in their town.</p><p>She says that she wants to leave, tired of the daily harassment she gets, though she admittedly can&#x27;t for various reasons, leaving her son with his crazed father being one of it.</p><p>Things take a turn for the worst as the dark secrets of the town begin to surface one by one, triggered apparently by their investigations, and Cruz and Lagaac soon discover that there&#x27;s far worse demons lurking among their community than they had first imagined.</p><div><strong>Check out the trailer below:</strong></div><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Gth1c4jmj1M?enablejsapi=1"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>The movie is co-produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and Epic Media with Malaysian director Bradley Liew.</p><p>It begins streaming this March 18.</p>
