Pyongyang’s media outlets have criticized South Korean TV dramas and films dealing with North Korea, which were described as an “unacceptable and atrocious provocation,” a report said.The state-controlled news website Uriminzokkiri published an editorial on Wednesday, saying, “South Korean authorities and film producers are releasing anti-republic films and TV dramas,” according to a <a href="http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20200304000745">report </a>by the Korea Herald, a Seoul-based English language paper.The editorial reportedly went on to condemn the productions, calling them “deceptive, fabricated, absurd, and impure.”It added that fans of the shows and movies “have no shame and are immoral,” according to the Herald report.Another North Korean propaganda outlet, Maeri, released a similar article the same day, the report said.The editorial did not give the titles of the productions but the Herald said they seemed to pertain to the recent hit drama “Crash Landing on You” and film “Ashfall.”“Crash Landing On You” follows a beautiful heiress to a South Korean business empire who accidentally lands in North Korea while paragliding. There, she is rescued by a military officer and the two fall in love.“Ashfall,” meanwhile, depicts the two Koreas working together to prevent a disastrous volcanic explosion from Mount Paektu in the North.
