MANILA -- Veteran actress Vivian Velez is wrapping up work on the TV series "Tubig at Langis" days after she resigned from the show, allegedly due to the rudeness of lead star Cristine Reyes.

"I'm taping my last scenes in the series right now and I feel like I'm walking in the lion's den," she wrote on her Facebook page late Tuesday.

She wrote the post presumably after the production team of "Tubig at Langis" released a statement denying that Reyes asked Velez to leave her dressing room.

"Nagkaroon lamang ng miscommunication at inaako ng production team ang responsibilidad nito. Sa katunayan, walang problema ang staff sa work ethics ni Cristine at maayos itong nakikisama sa lahat ng katrabaho niya,” the production team said.

Reyes also released her own lengthy statement late Tuesday on the controversy.

“To be very clear about it, I never requested anyone at any point for Ms. Vivian to be transferred rooms,” she stressed.

Before posting about shooting her last scenes, Velez also wrote a short post on Facebook.

Cristine thanks supporters

Meanwhile, after releasing her statement, Reyes took Instagram to thank the cast and crew of "Tubig at Langis" "for standing by the truth and guiding me to be the better person in the midst of this trying situation," as well as her family, including sister Ara Mina, who was the first to defend her.

She also thanked husband Ali Khatibi "for being my pillar."

"As a new family, we are immediately faced by something you are not used to. But you are always by my side. Thank you," Reyes said.

"I will no longer be shaken by negativity. I know that as long as the people I love know the truth, that is all that matters. It is at these moments that I am called to be a better person, not just for myself but for my daughter," she added.
