MANILA — Formerly estranged sisters Claudine and Gretchen Barretto appear to be catching up on lost time, as they continued to shared on Sunday their bonding moments.

On Instagram, the younger Claudine posted a video of her and Gretchen walking inside a mall, with their arms tangled after a “date.” At one point, they share a hug and kiss each other on the cheek.

“I love the way you love me,” Claudine wrote in the caption, tagging the Instagram account of her eldest sister. “Thank you.”

Gretchen, 49, and Claudine, 39, had been feuding for years to the point of exchanging complaints in court. That is, until early February, when they were first seen sharing a meal together in an Instagram live video.

Over the weeks since, the two have been a frequent presence in each other’s life, notably with Claudine thanking Gretchen for kepeing her company during her recent hospitalization, and with the younger Barretto surprising her “ate” on her birthday.

It remains unclear what led to their reconciliation. Also a subject of speculation among fans is another Barretto sister, former actress Marjorie, who has yet to be publicly seen with her siblings.

At the height of Claudine and Gretchen’s bitter spat, Marjorie sided with the eldest. In 2015, Claudine and Marjorie reconciled during the debut celebration of the latter’s daughter, Julia.
