MANILA — Four frames, one live show: it was the unique image of a band's concert in the time of social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Sponge Cola, along with singer Karylle, stage an online concert as part of the 'Bayanihan, Musikahan' series. Facebook: Sponge Cola

As Sponge Cola and singer Karylle streamed their episode of "Bayanihan, Musikahan" on Friday, viewers of the Facebook Live session saw the band members inside their respective homes.

Using an app, Yael Yuzon and wife Karylle, Gosh Dilay, Erwin Armovit, and TedMark Cruz were able to go live in the same video, divided into four frames.

However, the group did not perform together. Lead singer and guitarist Yuzon, along with Karylle, were the ones who performed throughout the episode.

Apparently due to connection issues, their respective broadcast had slight delays, potentially affecting a synchronized performance.

Numerous times, Sponge Cola and Karylle reminded viewers about safety measures against the spread of COVID-19, and experssed gratitude to frontline workers amid the Luzon-wide quarantine.

They also urged followers to join the "Bayanihan, Musikahan" fundraiser, which will benefit the most vulnerable sectors affected by the pandemic.
