Fil-Dane boys show swagger in 'Denmark's Got Talent'

<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/overseas/03/21/fil-dane-1.jpg"/></figure></div><p>A trio of two Fil-Dane boys and a girl of Romanian descent made it to the semifinals of &quot;Denmark Har Talent,&quot; Denmark&#x27;s version of the &quot;Got Talent&quot; franchise.</p><p>Josva Meinhard a Kosini, 12, Michael Louis a Kosini, 10, and Guilia Matei, 11, make up the trio Swagger, which recently performed in the live semifinals of the show last Saturday. </p><p>Clad all in white, the group performed their own version of Puff Daddy and Faith Evans&#x27; song &quot;I&#x27;ll Be Missing You,&quot; giving the song a slight twist by incorporating an anti-bullying message. </p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Y9z-ei_TM_0" width="560"></iframe></figure><p>In an interview, the boys&#x27; mom, former voice teacher Gladys Bareng Kosini, said their family moved to Denmark from the Faroe Islands two years ago. The boys&#x27; father, Eydun a Kosini, is a ship engineer. </p><p>Forming the group, however, came by accident. </p><p>&quot;About &#x27;yung Swagger, nung nag birthday ako kumanta &#x27;yung 2 boys ko. As their surprise number for me, Danish rap &#x27;yung song nila nun. Then from there, na-invite silang mag-perform sa isang party,&quot; Gladys told ABS-CBN News. </p><p>During the party, an employee of TV2 Denmark spotted the boys&#x27; talent and invited them to audition for the latest season of &quot;Denmark Har Talent.&quot; </p><p>&quot;That time &#x27;di pa nag-rap si Guilia, &#x27;yun lang mga boys ko. Nag-tingin ako ng pwede nilang piece sa audition, sinali ko si Guilia na mag-rap at &#x27;yun patok sa judges kaya sila nakuha,&quot; she recounted. </p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/overseas/03/21/fil-dane-2.jpg"/></figure></div><p>She also said the kids picked the name Swagger because it was cool. </p><p>For their audition piece, the group covered the song &quot;Hopeful&quot; by Bars and Melody, earning them a spot in the next round. </p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/fDkF5kfJEsQ" width="560"></iframe></figure><p>Their performance in the semifinals, however, turned out to be their last after they failed to secure the top 2 spots in the semifinals, which would have brought them to the finals. </p><p>Another Pinoy act, Jackie Pajo, also failed to secure a finals slot due to low text votes. This, despite a rousing performance of &quot;The Power of Love&quot; during her audition and &quot;I Will Always Love You&quot; during the semifinals. </p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bQc3H72c5DU" width="560"></iframe></figure><p>Acrobatic act True Tricks and hoop genius Rookie advanced to the finals. </p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4fYpCi4Dnt4" width="560"></iframe></figure><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/q9ROudSYyVs" width="560"></iframe></figure><p>Gladys, who hails from Cauayan City, Isabela, Cagayan Valley, said there&#x27;s plenty of time for Swagger to hone their act and write their own songs. </p><p>&quot;My goal for the group is to train them especially in rapping because that is their forte... Guilia is a good writer so I really want the group to continue,&quot; she said. </p><p>Their next goal is to compete in the Melodi Grand Prix Kids, which will force the group to perform their own material. </p>
