MANILA — “Kadenang Ginto” continued its record-breaking streak in ratings on Thursday as a freed Romina (Beauty Gonzalez) took her first vengeful steps against Daniela (Dimples Romana).

The Dreamscape afternoon drama registered a national TV rating of 26.9%, its highest-ever since its October 2018 debut, according to data from Kantar Media.

The March 29 viewership of “Kadenang Ginto” firmly placed it as the No. 1 program in its time slot. In fact, it scored more than double its competing program’s rating on the same day (“My Special Tatay” with 11.9%).

The soaring ratings of “Kadenang Ginto,” which has now beaten its own record four times just within March, coincide with the dramatic tug-of-war between the feuding sides of the Mondragon family in the wake of Robert’s (Albert Martinez) death.

With her release from jail after being accused of killing Robert, Romina is determined the retake what is rightfully hers, including the mansion where her daughter Cassie (Francine Diaz) has been maltreated by Daniela and Marga (Andrea Brillantes).
