Despite being openly affectionate, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto have yet to directly confirm the status of their relationship, even if their legion of fans are convinced that they're officially an item.

A casual slip on Garcia on "Gandang Gabi Vice," however, has given fans another reason to believe that the tandem, dubbed "JoshLia," has brought their onscreen romance to real life.

Along with his "The Good Son" co-stars, Garcia was promoting the upcoming finale of the hit primetime series on Vice Ganda's eponymous talk show, when the host asked them whether they get calls from their "girlfriends" while they are preparing for a dramatic scene.

"Ako, hindi ko nakausap si Julia noong ginawa ko 'yung scene," was Garcia's candid response, which he appeared to belatedly realize was a confirmation of sorts of his relationship with Barretto.

The 20-year-old actor's answer to the "girlfriend" question, as expected, had the studio audience erupting in cheers, with Vice Ganda noting that was the first time Garcia referred to Barretto as his girlfriend.
