"The PBA got cancelled. We got ready na for our first game and it got cancelled. Then Bianca’s taping and events got cancelled also. That’s when we realized how big the crisis is when they announced the lockdown," said Intal, who plays for the Phoenix Fuel Masters in the PBA, during DZMM’s “Holy Week Recollection with Fr. Tito Caluag” on Thursday.

"May strange comfort knowing dito sa Pilipinas, around the world, ay ganito din ang situation. May strange comfort din ‘yon but knowing na staying home doing our part in whatever way we can that was the adjustment. Kasi prior to this, our busy lives, medyo self 'yung iniisip natin but now it’s really jolting us na hindi lang tayo. Talagang it’s a collective effort and we should think about it in that sense,” she said.

Asked by Fr. Caluag to share their prayer at this time, Gonzalez said: “A prayer that I personally want to pray for us, our family and other families is, I guess, Lord, please help us to not ever forget the power of saying hello, how are you, saying thank you, saying sorry, saying I love you to people around us and acknowledging other people. And knowing that we are all here for each other.”

For his part, Intal said: “For me my prayer is for all the Filipino families that we may never forget the love and sacrifice of Christ for us. He died for us and I know what’s happening right now is part of His plans. May we never forget the experiences of this crisis and may we always stay loving and respectful for one another. Of course, my prayer is also for all the frontliners that they may never lose hope.”
