MANILA – Liza Soberano was very ecstatic when she received a tweet from American actor Christian Navarro, who plays Tony in the mystery thriller “13 Reasons Why.”

Soberano caught Navarro’s attention after the actress posted about how she dislikes bullying and humiliating people, which are topics tackled in the original Netflix series.

In a conversation with a netizen, Soberano clarified that she wasn’t just talking about “13 Reasons Why,” which she has already finished watching, and that she made the statement against bullying in general.

To her surprise, Navarro replied to her and said: “Well you're right Liza. Thanks for watching anyway.”

In response, Soberano said: “Omg. Thanks for tweeting me!! I love thirteen reasons why!”

The two then declared how they are fans of each other, with Soberano saying Tony is one of her favorite characters in “13 Reasons Why.”

This is not the first time Soberano caught the attention of international stars.

Last year, she made headlines when American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth as well as The Vamps member James McVey invited her to their respective concerts.

Soberano is one of the most popular and most beautiful actresses in the Philippines.
